Obituary for Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Hackett Sr.

Jeffrey A. "Jeff"  Hackett Sr.
Jeffrey A. Hackett, Sr., 55, husband of Paula L. (Miller) Hackett, of Harleysville passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA; he was the son of Alex L. Hackett, husband of Joan of Telford and the late Barbara Ann Kinee.

He was a graduate of Abington High School. He worked as an auto mechanic for more than 30 years, most recently at Steve's Auto Care in Blue Bell, and for many years with his father at World Transmission in Gilbertsville. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and spent time with the Reading Motorcycle Club.

Surviving in addition to his father, step-mother and wife of 17 years, are his son, Jeffrey A. Hackett, Jr. and wife, Tiffany of East Greenville; sisters, Susan M., wife of Mark Fersaci of Tampa, FL, Bunny A., wife of Jack Cosenza of Hatboro, Julie S. LaRocco of Aston, Alexandra J. Hackett-Ferber, wife of Jason Ferber of Norristown and Renee E., wife of Tom Frisch of Lafayette Hill; grandchildren, Brandi and Bryce; seven nieces and nephews and his german shepherd, Morgan.

Along with his mother, he is predeceased by his brother, Frank D. LaRocco

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041, with Rev. Charles Romanowski officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Offer sympathy to the family on our website at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
