Obituary for Kathleen A. "Kathy" Moyer (Fox)
Kathleen “Kathy” A. Moyer, 53, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Born in Allentown, PA she was the daughter of Shirley (Schlicher) Fox of Hereford, PA and the late Carl L. Fox. She was also the wife of Mark A. Moyer whom she shared 31 years of marriage with in April.
Kathy was an assistant manager at Top Star Gas and Convenience Store for seven years. Prior to that, she was a manager and employed at Young’s Mart in Woxall and Perkiomenville. She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, where she was the secretary for the Women’s fellowship for three years. She was also active in the Upper Perkiomen Sportsmen Association.
She enjoyed playing computer games, reading and watching Law&Order. She also loved animals, especially cats and dogs.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her sister, Sally J., wife of Mark A. Heimbach of Emmaus and two nephews, Matthew G. Heimbach and wife, Lisa of Durham, NC and Stephen S. Heimbach and wife, Kellie of Fleetwood, PA.
In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her sister Linda D. Bloomer and her beloved friend Pat Fox.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Cydney VanDyke officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
