Joan Elvine  Fluke (Bartholomew)
Joan Elvine (Bartholomew) Fluke, 76, wife of Gerald B. Fluke, of Macungie and formerly of the Upper Perkiomen Valley, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Born in Bechtelsville, she was a daughter of the late David S. Bartholomew and Mabel S. (Weller) Bartholomew Burke.

She had worked at the former Cherrydale Farms, in Pennsburg, until her retirement and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Red Hill.

Surviving along with her husband, are three children, Wanda J. Nyce and husband, David, of Morgantown, Ricky G. Fluke and wife, Kimberly, of Breinigsville, and Christine A. Fluke of Plano, TX; five siblings, Robert E. Bartholomew and wife, Jean of Sellersville, David S. Bartholomew and wife, Sonora, of Sellersville, William Bartholomew and wife, Joan, of Topton, Mabel S., wife of William Steskal, of Trevose and Franklin Bartholomew, of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Timothy, Benjamin, Hannah, Robert, Briana, and Jesse; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Paula J. Nyce.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, with the Rev. Steve Jaspers, Pastor of High Point Baptist Chapel, Geigertown, PA officiating. Burial will follow at Christ Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
