Nancy (Oyster) Schiefer, 75, wife of the late Carl B. Schiefer, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Pennsburg.

Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Gladys (Kehs) Oyster.

She was co-owner of the Tylersport Tavern with her ex-husband, James Clymer of Telford, from 1974 until the mid 1980’s. She also worked in production at Hunter Springs, a Division of Ametec, for many years. She enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family, who will miss her smiling face and warm hugs.

She is survived by a son, James Clymer and his wife, Joanne of Carlisle; two daughters, Sandra, wife of Randall Benner of Pennsburg and Wendy Clymer of Souderton; two sisters, Sandy, wife of Paul Allebach of Quakertown and Rosemarie Saussman of Texas; seven grandchildren, Kristina, wife of Chris Fox, Jessica, wife of Dave Brown, Rachel Moyer, John Moyer, Emily Moyer, Brandi Clymer, and Samantha Williams; and five great grandchildren, Randal, Jacquelyn, Alexis, Riley and Hallie. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Gerald “Butch” Oyster, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the David Lintvedt officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
