Anna Naomi Bartholomew, 94, widow of David S. Bartholomew, of Pennsburg, PA died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Lifequest Nursing Center, Quakertown, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Mary V. (Snodgrass) Fincham.
She was the owner and operator of Roseanne Garden Center from 1965 to 1970, prior to that she was the owner and operator along with her husband, of the Bartholomew Hosiery, Pennsburg, PA from 1949 to 1959. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill, PA, where she served on the Alter Guild. She will be remembered dearly as a great cook and flower gardener.
Surviving is a son, Howard T. Bowyer and wife Jeanette of Pennsburg, PA; sister-in-law, Rose Jones of Philadelphia, PA; Three nieces, Linda Smyth of Philadelphia, PA, Mary C. Giletto and husband Joseph of Philadelphia, PA, and Margie Gangloff and husband Woodrow of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, Jay T. Bowyer and wife Jennifer L. of Barto,PA and Natalie L. McCormick and husband Robert F. of Bechtelsville, PA; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin L. and Kyle R. McCormick of Bechtelsville, PA
She was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Elwood Fincham, and a sister, Mary C. Smyth.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fry and St. Paul Church Roads, Red Hill, PA. Rev. William A. Vanderslice will be officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the service in the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
