Yesterday was one of the thoughest days of my life, in a very long time. First I would like to thank all the people who came out to morn the loss of my brother Bernie, all of the relatives, his friends, old classmates, his neighbors and especially all his co-workers from The Hair Cuttery, he loved you all. I know he is in a better place ,but I can’t call him every day and hear his voice ,and we would take about everything. Please know that you are my HERO, for being there for me growing up, and for fighting this terrible disease, you sure put up a good fight. I know your are up there catching up with mom, dad and Bob, little Mike, and all our relatives. I must thank Dr. Daniel Geynisman of Fox Chase Cancer Center you did everything you could to keep Bernie alive and I appreciate you, you were great with Bernie, and he loved you!!! Now, I need to get used to a new way of life without you. He told me to remember the happy times, but I think it will take me a long time to smile and not cry. I LOVE YOU BERN❤️❤️❤️ Your youngest sister Janet Reck Macenka

First of all I'd like to say Thank-You for your service to our country to keep us all safe. Next I will always be grateful to Bernie for the home he gave to my mothers German shepherd when she passed and we couldn't give Philly the home he needed. He took wonderful care of him and when he got sick I'm sure he was a great comfort to him. I'm sure they are together right now. Paul and Linda Eshbach ... To all Bernie's family, you have our deepest sympathy.
