Gardner H. Schoenly, 94, husband of the late Dorothy E. (Trumbore) Schoenly, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, June 29th in Masonic Village Nursing Home, Elizabethtown, PA.

Born in Red Hill, PA, he was a son of the late David H. and Mamie (Weldner) Schoenly.

He was self-employed in construction for 30 years, retiring in 1977.

He was a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Audubon, PA. He was a Past Master of the Charity Lodge #190, Norristown, PA,; a past Commander of the Hutchinson-Jerusalem Commandry, Norristown, PA.; a Past Royal Master of Palestine Council, Norristown, Pa.; a Past High Priest of Royal Arch Chapter, Norristown, Pa. and received the York Cross of Honor. He was a 33rd degree member of the Lehigh Consistory, Allentown, PA, . He was also a member of the LuLu Shriner’s in Philadelphia.

Surviving are his son, Stuart G. Schoenly and wife, Deanna of Northboro, Massachusetts; 2 grandchildren, Reed Schoenly of Brownsville, Texas and Heather Jones, of Windemere, Florida and 2 Great-Grandsons, Tyler and Jake Schoenly.
