Obituary

Joan K. (Pennebacker) Heimbach, 93, of Zionsville, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, September 21, 2019. She was the wife of Raymond C. Heimbach.

She was born in Allentown, PA to the late Henry and Beryl Pennebacker.

She graduated from Emmaus High School and was the valedictorian of her class. She was also the editor of her class yearbook and a cheerleader. She then graduated from Cedar Crest College with high honors, having received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics, ranking highest in her major study. Joan taught home economics at East Greenville High School and continued her graduate study at Penn State University.

Joan was a seamstress, a fashion show judge at numerous contests and in the sixties; she was an Upper Milford Cub Scout Den Mother. However, above all of this, her biggest joy was her family.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Henry K. Pennebacker.
