Kathrine "Kitty"  Kerivel (Dykie)
Kathrine “Kitty” (Dykie) Gaugler Kerivel, 96, widow of Ernest Gaugler and Eugene Kerivel, of Pennsburg, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Tara) Dykie.

She was a seamstress at the former Rosenau Brothers in Red Hill for 47 years retiring in 1975. Following retirement she was a self-employed reflexologist for 20 years.

She was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she had been a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center, the Golden Age Club and the East Greenville, Pennsburg and Red Hill Fire Companies.

Surviving are a daughter, Jeanette M., wife of Kenneth L. Miller of Pennsburg; a son, Leemon E. Gaugler and wife, Barbara of Mansfield; three sisters, Anna Hoffman, Genevieve Husted and Stella Roney, all of Perkiomenville; a godchild, Carol Bradley of Perkiomenville; four grandchildren, LeeAnn Gaugler, Chris Gaugler and wife, Jeanne, Bill Miller and wife, Rosemary and Jennifer O’Donnell and husband, John; six step grandchildren, Kyle, Kurt, Abby, Laurie, David and Scott; four great grandchildren, Ashley and Heather Gaugler and John and Katie O’Donnell and two step great grandchildren, Jacob and Will. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by four brothers, George, John, Peter and Pete Dykie.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment follows in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Funeral arrangements are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Share memories and offer condolences to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
