He was born on August 7, 1947, one of eight children of the late Bernard and Ruth (Geib) Laux. Tim was a graduate of St. Edward High School and University of North Carolina. After serving in the US Air Force, Tim worked in the transportation industry that concluded with a long and distinguished career with J.P. Mascaro & Sons.
He not only took pride in his work, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in the industry. Tim was a man of many talents, but all that know him will state he was an avid fisherman with his greatest accomplishment of catching 118lb Halibut in Alaska. When he wasn’t fishing, Tim was making wine, cheese, bacon and gardening from seeds.
