Rev. Robert R. Freed, 82, of Main Street, Bally, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Fern E. (Kulp) Freed celebrating their 57th year of marriage on June 28th.

Born in Pennsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey S. and Helen V. (Reinhart) Freed.

He was ordained as an Episcopal Priest in 1964 and then ordained as a Roman Catholic Priest in 1984 recently serving the parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.

Surviving along with his wife is a daughter, Denise L. Stull and her husband, Bradley of Hereford; a son, David K. Freed of Fort Worth, TX; 5 granddaughters, Sarah, Jennifer and Rebecca Stull and Taylor and Natalie Freed.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA with The Most Reverend Michael Owen Jackels officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral mass.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Francis Academy or Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, P O Box C, Bally, PA 19503.
